Summary: Collection consists of clippings of Dunton's illustrations and articles that appeared in journals and magazines, notably the National Sportsman, the Nickel, Field and Stream, the Brown Book, and Vogue. One scrapbook is bound, 1986-1904, and the other, eighteen unbound clippings are in plastic covers.

W. Herbert (Buck) Dunton was born William Herbert Dunton on August 28, 1878. He became an artist, studied at the Cowles Art School in Boston, the Art Students League in New York City, and in Taos with Ernest Blumenschein and Leon Gaspard. He illustrated for Harpers Weekly, Scribners, and National Sportsman. He permanently relocated to Taos in 1914 and became a western illustrator and painter.
